Inclusion of the youth adults in juvenile penal area. Thoughts starting from a field research

Abstract

The inclusion of youth adults, from 21 to 25 years, in penal treatment area has constituted a major change in interventions, treatment and management of minors’ penal system both in internal and external penal area. This transformation also raised a number of critical issues at different levels. The adulthood strongly question pedagogy both in theory and praxis axis. This paper investigates the development of adulthood in prison and criminal area and explores the vision that young adults have of adulthood. This contribution returns the results of a field study that seeks to interpret the educational tracks in encounters, events and experiences.
