Mother-led integration: Discussion on two best practices in Milan for supporting migrant parenting on the female side
Abstract
This paper intends to address the issues of migration and integration, starting from the family and in particular mothers. Referring on a theoretical level to studies on family education - especially parenting support - it analyses the characteristics and importance of programs that support migrant motherhood as a way to promote well-being and integration of the whole family. Two cases of best practices in Milan are discussed as a reflection on the topic.
