"The right to metamorphosis": 50 years after 1968, theories and practices of metamorphic education

Abstract

The paper deals with the conflict between the paradigm of conversion and the schema of metamorphosis, that structures the field of educational theories and practices. It tries to show how May 1968 has participated in the affirmation of the "right to metamorphosis" and its emancipatory power.
