The narrated child. Some reflections on the idea and literary images of childhood

  • Alessandra Mazzini

Abstract

The paper aims to try to show the path that the literary representation of ideal childhood makes, from the ancient world to the twentieth century. With the exaltation of the child's extraneousness and distance from the adult world, childhood becomes a point of reference for the entire existence of the writer, an engine of his inner search, and therefore, a necessary source for his own inspiration.
