Abstract

The paper aims to explore the ways in which the University of Catania has conceptualized its role in supporting lifelong learning (LLL). The focus of the research is essentially on identifying the level of awareness of the University with respect to its ability to disseminate and promote LLL and to meet cultural, educational, economic and productive needs of the local community. The data are compared with those of a similar research conducted by the researchers 15 years ago.
