Abstract

The season of renewal that Italy is about to experience thanks to the funds provided for in the PNRR (National Recovery and Resilience Plan) may take on the features of an epoch-making change from various points of view. These include training and research. The current challenge, made an urgent necessity by the pandemic situation we are experiencing, is to build a new education and training system capable of responding to the real needs that progress has generated, particularly in the younger generations. Two key words stand out in this context: culture and communication. This combination can and must make the difference in the context of a redesign and reorganisation of the Italian school and university system. In this regard, the experience of the digital ateliers created by the European project “App your school” is of great interest. The use of communication and new technologies in education must become the effective paradigm for structuring interactive teaching aimed at building an educational community.
