Impacts and Challenges of Teaching and Learning Centers: a first overview

Abstract

This contribution aims to propose a first literature review on the topic of Teaching and Learning Centres (TLCs). By analyzing a series of selected papers published between 2019 and 2024, this article focuses on two themes frequently appearing in the current academic debate. On the one hand, the role of TLCs in supporting and promoting innovation in educational and teaching practices during the pandemic and, on the other hand, the link between these institutions and the faculty development issue. By comparing case studies and national and international experiences, the analysis of the existing literature thus provides an opportunity to reflect on the function of TLCs.
