Abstract

The rapid development of Teaching and Learning Centers (TLCs) in higher education institutions worldwide provides a crucial perspective for exploring the intersection of educational theory and practice. This article examines the role of TLCs in improving the quality of teaching and learning processes in higher education, starting from the Italian context and then offering some perspectives on the international debate.

The final part of the paper introduces this issue of the journal, with different articles that offer unique perspectives on the dynamics and challenges associated with the implementation and effectiveness of TLCs, covering a wide range of topics, from pedagogical innovation to faculty development.
