Abstract

The teacher Manzi played a decisive role in the introduction and spread of literacy and distance education in Italy. The television program Non è mai troppo tardi, conceived during a period of progressive transformation from an agricultural to an industrial society, had a clear impact on the very processes of social change. This contribution explores the role of television in learning processes, analyzing the pedagogical contribution of teacher Alberto Manzi and the neuroscientific implications related to the use of audiovisual media. Through a theoretical and historical analysis, the educational potential of television is highlighted, along with the critical issues related to passive viewing and the opportunities offered by media education and digital video lessons. The work aims to offer a critical reflection on the conscious integration of television in formal and informal educational contexts.
