Education for Disobedience. The Pedagogical Project of Alberto Manzi
Abstract
This article offers a rereading of the work of Alberto Manzi, a central figure in twentieth-century Italian pedagogy. Beyond his fame for his program ‘Non è mai troppo tardi,’ Manzi successfully transformed school into a space for cultural and civic emancipation. His practices, grounded in the centrality of the student, the integration of mind and body, and the need to educate in critical thinking and constructive disobedience, outline an innovative and emancipatory educational vision. This article explores its essential features, highlighting its transformative power and radical relevance.
