Similarities between the Scout Educational Approach and the Teaching Methods of Teacher Manzi

Abstract

This contribution aims to investigate the extent to which Alberto Manzi’s (Rome, 1924–Pitigliano, 1997) training and work as a primary school teacher, educator, children’s writer, contributor to educational and popular science book series, author, and television and radio presenter may have been influenced by the Scout educational programme. Manzi was known to the general public as the presenter of the famous programme It’s Never Too Late.
