School-work alternation as an occasion of inclusion for persons with disabilities: a case study

Abstract

The transition from school to work is an important time for people with disabilities and for their professional inclusion. Following the model of Spagnolo e Pavoncello (2014), this study presents the project realizes with a student with disabilities in a supermarket while attending the last year in high school in the province of Bergamo. The experience highlights the factors that can contribute to building a successful experience of transition from education to employment for people with disabilities.
