Abstract

The article aims to investigate through the lens of the transformative learning theory the processes and methods through which learning is generated in a group of apprentices with intellectual disabilities working in a social farm. The research method was based on qualitative interviews and focused on these questions: how the apprentices face this experience in terms of personal and professional development? Which are the main changes that occurred in their life that can be considered in the frame of the transformative learning theory? The results show interesting categories both in terms of increasing of personal and professional skills and changes that occurred in their life and at work
