Abstract

The article referrers to framework, methodological protocol and early results of the first phase of a research on opportunities and barriers to access to employment for women with physical and sensory disabilities, within the Erasmus Plus project "Ready Woman, New opportunities of employment for social inclusion of women with disabilities" (Action - KA204, Strategic Partnerships for adult education). The analyzes of focus group and in-depth interviews - in a narrative inquiry framework - brought out representations and personal experiences of women with disabilities looking for work and of operators in the orientation/placement services regarding main barriers (the prejudice of employers work and self-image) and opportunities (basic and technological training and new sectors of employment) to the possibility of a job. The results obtained are preparatory to the second phase of the project which will develop an inclusive training curriculum.
