Abstract

The article aims to analyse the roots of the expression "alternance training" to argue the importance of this pedagogical principle. The article explores the different prejudices that belong to our culture and that favor theory and abstract study over the value of practice, experience and manual work. This preventing an authentic alternation in training courses. This work aims to reflect on the importance of learning by doing and lifelong learning by analyzing the concept of experience: a significant polarity of school-work alternance, a program for combined school-based and work-based traineeship. Becomes fundamental reflect on the continuum and circularity between reflection and experience, also thanks to the synergy that is created with the eye-hand-mind triad. Conclude the article a summary of the Italian legislation on the matter.
