Giuseppe Catalfamo’s personalism on the centenary of his birth (1921-2021): critical assumptions and theoretical-educational prospects

Abstract

The article aims to investigate on the philosophical-educational level the fundamental assumptions of G. Catalfamo's critical personalism, in the belief that it constitutes a privileged touchstone to study the complex panorama of italian pedagogy in the second half of the 20^th century. Furthermore, the last part of the contribution tries to figure out the potential meaning of his educational theory in relation to some pedagogical issues of the contemporary Zeitgeist.
