Giuseppe Catalfamo’s personalism on the centenary of his birth (1921-2021): critical assumptions and theoretical-educational prospects

Abstract

The article aims to investigate on the philosophical-educational level the fundamental assumptions of G. Catalfamo's critical personalism, in the belief that it constitutes a privileged touchstone to study the complex panorama of italian pedagogy in the second half of the 20th century. Furthermore, the last part of the contribution tries to figure out the potential meaning of his educational theory in relation to some pedagogical issues of the contemporary Zeitgeist.
