Responding to pandemic changes: the key role of continuing adult education

Abstract

The article examines the impact of the Covid-19 on continuing education, with the aim of understanding what changes in the idea and the practice have been introduced. Through empirical research, these issues are investigated by comparing the opinions of training managers working in the Veneto region with those of students who aspire to hold this position and are currently training at the university. The function and meaning of continuing adult education are explored in relation to the pandemic, that highlighted its role as a key element in coping with sudden changes in society and in personal and professional development.
