The role of the educator in Korczak's thinking

Abstract

The contribution delves into the educational proposal carried out by Korczak during his field experience and the new role that the educator must assume in the light of the affirmation of the rights of the child who becomes the protagonist and co-author of the action itself. With a close look at recent publications, Korczak's reflection on the pedagogical function of observation is highlighted, which becomes the focus of his proposal and activity as a doctor-educator during the dark years in which he lived and worked. All of this offers important correlation points with the current situation and recent studies.
