Don Milani and comics: criticism of «Il Vittorioso» in Esperienze pastorali

Abstract

The article aims to analyze the awkward position that Don Milani took towards the Azione Cattolica magazine «Il Vittorioso». If in the 1950s criticism of comics was general, the Florentine priest’s position appears particular. In Esperienze pastorali, indeed, Don Milani negatively evaluates even those of Catholic inspiration, of which «Il Vittorioso» was the main exponent.
