Maternal kindness, Order, and Sociability in Agazzi’s 'Guida per le educatrici dell'infanzia'. Perspectives on Education for Children Aged 0 to 6

Abstract

This article analyses the pedagogical proposal developed around one hundred years ago by Rosa Agazzi, highlighting its ability not only to suggest effective teaching solutions but also to outline, in its fundamental features, an educational approach suitable for children from birth to six years of age. The paper will focus on those recommendations, contained Agazzi’s Guida per le educatrici dell’infanzia, which prepare children to a respectful life together with others, an educational goal also stressed by the most recent ministerial regulations on the so-called integrated 0-6 system.
