Abstract

The focus of this paper is on the relationship that Aldo Capitini and Don Lorenzo Milani established shortly after the latter published his book Esperienze Pastorali. A relationship that lasted until Don Milani's death on June 26, 1967. Don Lorenzo Milani, a priest of unassailable orthodoxy, found in the "free religious" Aldo Capitini an important interlocutor regarding the emancipatory power of the word, intended as an individual and communicative need to be extended to all those who were excluded from it.
